Searching for better insurance prices for your Cadillac Brougham could be a lot of work, but you can learn these tips to find lower rates.
There are both good and bad ways to find insurance online so we’re going to tell you the quickest way to get price quotes for a Cadillac and find the best price possible either online or from local insurance agents.
Insurance is expensive, but companies offer discounts to help bring down the price. A few discounts will automatically apply at the time you complete a quote, but some may not be applied and must be inquired about before you will receive the discount.
One last thing about discounts, some credits don’t apply to the overall cost of the policy. Most only reduce specific coverage prices like medical payments or collision. So even though it sounds like all those discounts means the company will pay you, that’s just not realistic. Any amount of discount will help lower your premiums.
Companies and their offered discounts are:
When quoting, ask all companies you are considering which discounts you may be entitled to. A few discounts may not apply to policies in your area. If you would like to view insurance companies that offer many of these discounts, click this link.
Performing a rate comparison is a ton of work if you don’t know the most efficient way to do it. You can spend your afternoon talking about coverages with insurance companies in your area, or you can stay home and use online quoting to get pricing more quickly.
Many companies take part in a program that allows shoppers to only type in their quote data once, and every company returns a rated price based on the submitted data. This eliminates the need for quote requests to each company.

One minor caviat to doing it this way is buyers cannot specifically choose the insurers you will receive quotes from. If you would rather choose specific insurance companies for rate comparison, we put together a list of the cheapest insurance companies in your area. Click here to view list.
It doesn’t matter which method you choose, just make darn sure you compare the same coverages with every price quote. If the quotes have different data it will be very difficult to determine which company has the best rates.
When buying proper insurance coverage for your vehicles, there is no “best” method to buy coverage. Coverage needs to be tailored to your specific needs.
These are some specific questions could help you determine whether or not you would benefit from an agent’s advice.
If you can’t answer these questions then you might want to talk to an insurance agent. If you want to speak to an agent in your area, simply complete this short form. It is quick, free and can help protect your family.
Knowing the specifics of your policy can help you determine which coverages you need at the best deductibles and correct limits. The terms used in a policy can be impossible to understand and coverage can change by endorsement.
This will cover injuries or damage you cause to a person or their property by causing an accident. Coverage consists of three different limits, bodily injury per person, bodily injury per accident and property damage. You commonly see limits of 100/300/100 which stand for $100,000 in coverage for each person’s injuries, a limit of $300,000 in injury protection per accident, and a limit of $100,000 paid for damaged property. Some companies may use one limit called combined single limit (CSL) which limits claims to one amount and claims can be made without the split limit restrictions.
Liability coverage protects against claims like structural damage, attorney fees, emergency aid, pain and suffering and legal defense fees. How much liability should you purchase? That is a personal decision, but you should buy as high a limit as you can afford.
This pays to fix your vehicle from damage caused by collision with another vehicle or an object, but not an animal. You will need to pay your deductible and the rest of the damage will be paid by collision coverage.
Collision can pay for things like colliding with a tree, crashing into a building, sideswiping another vehicle and sustaining damage from a pot hole. Paying for collision coverage can be pricey, so consider dropping it from lower value vehicles. Another option is to bump up the deductible to save money on collision insurance.
Medical costs insurance
Coverage for medical payments and/or PIP pay for immediate expenses for dental work, chiropractic care, funeral costs and hospital visits. They can be used to cover expenses not covered by your health insurance plan or if there is no health insurance coverage. They cover not only the driver but also the vehicle occupants and will also cover being hit by a car walking across the street. PIP is not an option in every state but it provides additional coverages not offered by medical payments coverage
Your UM/UIM coverage gives you protection when other motorists either are underinsured or have no liability coverage at all. This coverage pays for medical payments for you and your occupants as well as your vehicle’s damage.
Since many drivers carry very low liability coverage limits, their liability coverage can quickly be exhausted. That’s why carrying high Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist coverage should not be overlooked. Normally your uninsured/underinsured motorist coverages are similar to your liability insurance amounts.
Comprehensive or Other Than Collision
Comprehensive insurance pays to fix your vehicle from damage that is not covered by collision coverage. You first must pay your deductible then the remaining damage will be covered by your comprehensive coverage.
Comprehensive coverage protects against claims like rock chips in glass, damage from getting keyed, theft and vandalism. The maximum amount your auto insurance company will pay is the actual cash value, so if it’s not worth much more than your deductible consider removing comprehensive coverage.
Drivers switch companies for a variety of reasons including high prices, lack of trust in their agent, questionable increases in premium and even high rates after DUI convictions. No matter why you want to switch, choosing a new company is not as hard as you think.
When buying insurance coverage, you should never reduce needed coverages to save money. There are too many instances where someone sacrificed comprehensive coverage or liability limits to discover at claim time that it was a big mistake. The proper strategy is to buy the best coverage you can find at the best cost while still protecting your assets.
