Looking for the cheapest auto insurance rates? Shoppers have options when shopping for the lowest priced Chrysler Town and Country insurance. They can either waste time struggling with agents to get rate comparisons or leverage the internet to get rate quotes. There are both good and bad ways to find auto insurance online and we’ll show you the best way to price shop coverage for a Chrysler and get the best price possible either online or from local insurance agents.
Cutting your insurance rates is an easy way to save money. All you need to do is spend a few minutes comparing rate quotes to find out which insurance company has affordable insurance quotes. This is very easy and can be done in a couple of different ways.
For a handy list of car insurance company links in your area, click here.
How you compare quotes is your choice, just make darn sure you compare apples-to-apples coverages and limits with every price quote. If you are comparing mixed coverages it will be nearly impossible to truly determine the lowest rate.
Companies do not list all their discounts very clearly, so below is a list both the well known and the harder-to-find discounts that you can inquire about if you buy insurance online.
While discounts sound great, it’s important to understand that some of the credits will not apply to all coverage premiums. Most only reduce individual premiums such as comp or med pay. If you do the math and it seems like you can get free auto insurance, it doesn’t quite work that way. Any amount of discount should help lower your policy premiums.
A few popular companies and some of the discounts are included below.
Before purchasing a policy, check with every company which discounts can lower your rates. All car insurance discounts may not apply to policies in your area. To see companies with significant discounts, click here to view.
When it comes to buying adequate coverage for your personal vehicles, there really is not a “best” method to buy coverage. Every insured’s situation is different.
For example, these questions may help you determine whether your personal situation will benefit from professional help.
If it’s difficult to answer those questions but a few of them apply, then you may want to think about talking to a licensed insurance agent. If you don’t have a local agent, fill out this quick form. It’s fast, free and you can get the answers you need.
Knowing the specifics of a auto insurance policy can be of help when determining which coverages you need and the correct deductibles and limits. Policy terminology can be impossible to understand and nobody wants to actually read their policy.
Uninsured or underinsured coverage
Your UM/UIM coverage protects you and your vehicle from other drivers when they do not carry enough liability coverage. This coverage pays for injuries to you and your family and also any damage incurred to your 1991 Chrysler Town and Country.
Since a lot of drivers only carry the minimum required liability limits, it only takes a small accident to exceed their coverage. That’s why carrying high Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist coverage should not be overlooked.
Comprehensive protection
Comprehensive insurance coverage covers damage OTHER than collision with another vehicle or object. A deductible will apply and the remainder of the damage will be paid by comprehensive coverage.
Comprehensive coverage pays for claims like falling objects, damage from getting keyed and hitting a deer. The maximum amount your auto insurance company will pay is the cash value of the vehicle, so if the vehicle’s value is low it’s not worth carrying full coverage.
Medical expense coverage
Med pay and PIP coverage provide coverage for bills for doctor visits, funeral costs, ambulance fees and EMT expenses. They can be used in conjunction with a health insurance policy or if you do not have health coverage. They cover both the driver and occupants and will also cover getting struck while a pedestrian. Personal injury protection coverage is not an option in every state but can be used in place of medical payments coverage
Collision insurance
This coverage covers damage to your Town and Country resulting from a collision with another car or object. You first must pay a deductible and the rest of the damage will be paid by collision coverage.
Collision insurance covers things like damaging your car on a curb, crashing into a building, colliding with another moving vehicle, sideswiping another vehicle and crashing into a ditch. Paying for collision coverage can be pricey, so you might think about dropping it from lower value vehicles. Drivers also have the option to choose a higher deductible to get cheaper collision coverage.
Auto liability
Liability insurance will cover damage or injury you incur to a person or their property in an accident. It protects you from legal claims by others, and doesn’t cover your own vehicle damage or injuries.
Liability coverage has three limits: per person bodily injury, per accident bodily injury, and a property damage limit. You might see policy limits of 100/300/100 which means $100,000 in coverage for each person’s injuries, a limit of $300,000 in injury protection per accident, and property damage coverage for $100,000.
Liability coverage pays for things like funeral expenses, attorney fees and repair costs for stationary objects. How much liability coverage do you need? That is up to you, but buy higher limits if possible.

This is too expensive. I live in Biloxi, MS. I got free prices from 21st Century, Erie, and Hartford for my Chrysler and saved around $60 a year. I have kids on my policy, too. Wish I didn’t have to insure at all. It’s too old for full coverage.
Geoffrey Ayers
I’m in the suburbs of Fairbanks, AK. Compared quite a few companies. Saved right around $30 a month. GEICO was the cheapest option for me. Insured with State Farm before. Can still barely afford it. I don’t have comp or collision coverage.

If you have a good history and live in the vicinity of Columbus, GA, check out GEICO. They seem to be cheaper. Good savings if you bundle. :P

It all costs too much. Went with Sentry for my Town and Country and am saving around $80 a year. Was with Nationwide. I have a couple other vehicles on the policy. It’s easy to compare rates online now.

It’s all a rip off. I live just to the south of Reno, NV. I don’t recall every quote but I ended up saving about $10 each month. It’s still not cheap enough.

It all costs too much. I’m in the suburbs of Reno, Nevada. I got free quotes from Safeco, Farmers, GEICO, and Auto-Owners for my Chrysler and saved around $90 a year. I don’t put full coverage on it.
Joe Middleton
Compared auto insurance prices with State Farm and GEICO but still not cheap enough.

I was with The General last year but switched to Allstate. From a town just southwest of Tucson, Arizona. Was with Nationwide. Just liability coverage since it’s getting old.
