It’s a good idea to compare rates occasionally because car insurance prices change quite often. Even if you got the best deal for A6 coverage six months ago you will most likely find a better rate today. Block out anything you think you know about car insurance because we’re going to demonstrate the tricks you need to know to find great coverage at a great price.
Reducing your 1997 Audi A6 insurance rates doesn’t have to be difficult. You just have to take time to compare free insurance coverage quotes online with multiple companies. It’s really simple and can be done in a couple of different ways.

You can choose any of those ways to find more affodable coverage, but do your best to enter nearly identical coverages on every quote you get. If you compare differing limits you can’t possibly determine which rate is truly the best.
Some companies don’t list every possible discount very clearly, so below is a list both well-publicized and the harder-to-find insurance savings.
You should keep in mind that some of the credits will not apply to the overall cost of the policy. Most cut the cost of specific coverages such as liability and collision coverage. So when the math indicates having all the discounts means you get insurance for free, it’s just not the way it works.

When it comes to choosing coverage for your vehicles, there isn’t really a cookie cutter policy. Every situation is different.
These are some specific questions might help in determining if your insurance needs could use an agent’s help.
If you’re not sure about those questions but a few of them apply then you might want to talk to an insurance agent. To find an agent in your area, simply complete this short form. It’s fast, doesn’t cost anything and may give you better protection.
Having a good grasp of your policy aids in choosing appropriate coverage and the correct deductibles and limits. The coverage terms in a policy can be ambiguous and even agents have difficulty translating policy wording.
Comprehensive or Other Than Collision – Comprehensive insurance coverage pays to fix your vehicle from damage OTHER than collision with another vehicle or object. You first must pay your deductible and then insurance will cover the rest of the damage.
Comprehensive coverage protects against claims such as rock chips in glass, damage from a tornado or hurricane, falling objects, fire damage and hitting a bird. The highest amount you’ll receive from a claim is the actual cash value, so if it’s not worth much more than your deductible consider removing comprehensive coverage.
Collision coverage – Collision insurance will pay to fix damage to your A6 resulting from colliding with an object or car. A deductible applies then the remaining damage will be paid by your insurance company.
Collision insurance covers things such as crashing into a building, crashing into a ditch, sideswiping another vehicle and hitting a mailbox. Collision coverage makes up a good portion of your premium, so consider removing coverage from older vehicles. Drivers also have the option to bump up the deductible to get cheaper collision coverage.
Medical costs insurance – Medical payments and Personal Injury Protection insurance pay for immediate expenses for funeral costs, X-ray expenses and nursing services. They are often used in conjunction with a health insurance policy or if you are not covered by health insurance. Medical payments and PIP cover not only the driver but also the vehicle occupants as well as being hit by a car walking across the street. Personal Injury Protection is not universally available but it provides additional coverages not offered by medical payments coverage
Liability car insurance – This coverage can cover damages or injuries you inflict on people or other property. This insurance protects YOU from claims by other people. It does not cover your injuries or vehicle damage.
It consists of three limits, bodily injury per person, bodily injury per accident and property damage. You commonly see values of 25/50/25 which stand for a limit of $25,000 per injured person, a per accident bodily injury limit of $50,000, and $25,000 of coverage for damaged propery.
Liability insurance covers claims like medical services, emergency aid, legal defense fees, repair bills for other people’s vehicles and repair costs for stationary objects. The amount of liability coverage you purchase is your choice, but it’s cheap coverage so purchase as much as you can afford.
UM/UIM Coverage – Your UM/UIM coverage protects you and your vehicle’s occupants when other motorists either are underinsured or have no liability coverage at all. This coverage pays for injuries to you and your family as well as your vehicle’s damage.
Since a lot of drivers only purchase the least amount of liability that is required, it only takes a small accident to exceed their coverage. For this reason, having high UM/UIM coverages is a good idea.
