Cheaper 2003 Lincoln Navigator Insurance Rates

Consumers have a choice when looking for low-cost Lincoln Navigator insurance. You can either waste hours contacting agents trying to get quotes or use the internet to make rate comparisons.

There are more efficient ways to buy insurance coverage so you’re going to learn the quickest way to quote coverages for a new or used Lincoln and find the cheapest rates from both online companies and local agents.

It’s important to check insurance coverage prices periodically because prices are rarely the same from one policy term to another. Just because you found the best rate on Navigator insurance last year there may be better deals available now. You can find a lot of information about insurance coverage online but I’m going to show you a bunch of ideas how to slash your insurance coverage rates.

How to compare insurance quotes

There are multiple methods to shop for insurance, but one way is less labor-intensive and much quicker. You could waste a few hours discussing policy coverages with insurance agencies in your area, or you can utilize online quoting to get rates in a matter of minutes.

The majority of car insurance companies participate in an industry program that allows shoppers to complete one form, and each participating company then returns a price quote. This prevents consumers from doing quote forms to each individual insurance company.

The only drawback to pricing coverage this way is buyers cannot specifically choose the companies you want to price. So if you prefer to pick specific providers to request quotes from, we put together a list of the cheapest insurance companies in your area. Click here for list of insurance companies.

The method you choose is up to you, but double check that you are using nearly identical coverage information with each company. If you have unequal deductibles or liability limits then you won’t be able to make a fair comparison for your Lincoln Navigator.

Slash your auto insurance rates with discounts

Auto insurance is neither fun to buy or cheap, but you may find discounts that can dramatically reduce your bill. Larger premium reductions will be automatically applied when you quote, but lesser-known reductions have to be specifically requested in order for you to get them.

  • Good Student Discount – Excelling in school may save as much as 25% on a auto insurance quote. You can use this discount normally up to age 25.
  • No Claim Discounts – Claim-free drivers can save substantially compared to insureds who have frequent claims or accidents.
  • Low Mileage – Fewer annual miles on your Lincoln can qualify you for better prices on cars that stay parked.
  • Passive Restraint Discount – Factory air bags can get savings of up to 25% or more.
  • Anti-lock Brake Discount – Vehicles equipped with ABS or steering control are safer to drive so companies give up to a 10% discount.
  • Drive Safe and Save – Insureds who avoid accidents can get discounts for up to 45% lower rates on Navigator insurance than drivers with accidents.
  • Theft Deterent – Vehicles with anti-theft systems help deter theft and will qualify for a discount on a auto insurance quote.
  • Lower Rates for Military – Having a family member in the military could be rewarded with lower rates.
  • Paperless Signup – A few companies will give a small break simply for signing on your computer.
  • Senior Citizens – Older drivers can get a small discount on rates on Navigator insurance.

It’s important to understand that some of the credits will not apply to all coverage premiums. A few only apply to the price of certain insurance coverages like liability, collision or medical payments. Despite the appearance that adding up those discounts means a free policy, it’s just not the way it works.

Some of the insurance companies that may offer quotes with some of the above discounts may include but are not limited to:

When comparing rates, check with each company or agent what discounts are available to you. Some discounts listed above might not be offered on policies in every state. To choose providers with discount rates, click here.

You are unique and your auto insurance should be too

When buying adequate coverage, there is no cookie cutter policy. Everyone’s needs are different.

Here are some questions about coverages that may help highlight if your insurance needs could use an agent’s help.

  • Who is covered when they drive my 2003 Lincoln Navigator?
  • Do I need replacement cost coverage on my 2003 Lincoln Navigator?
  • Does coverage extend to Mexico or Canada?
  • Where can I get insurance after a DUI in my state?
  • How can I force my company to pay a claim?
  • Am I covered if my car is in a flood?

If you don’t know the answers to these questions but a few of them apply then you might want to talk to a licensed agent. If you want to speak to an agent in your area, take a second and complete this form. It’s fast, free and can provide invaluable advice.

Specifics of your insurance policy

Learning about specific coverages of your policy can be of help when determining the right coverages at the best deductibles and correct limits. The terms used in a policy can be confusing and even agents have difficulty translating policy wording.

UM/UIM Coverage – This protects you and your vehicle’s occupants when other motorists either have no liability insurance or not enough. This coverage pays for injuries to you and your family and damage to your Lincoln Navigator.

Since a lot of drivers only purchase the least amount of liability that is required, it only takes a small accident to exceed their coverage. For this reason, having high UM/UIM coverages is very important. Normally your uninsured/underinsured motorist coverages are identical to your policy’s liability coverage.

Comprehensive or Other Than Collision – This pays for damage caused by mother nature, theft, vandalism and other events. You first have to pay a deductible then the remaining damage will be covered by your comprehensive coverage.

Comprehensive can pay for things such as vandalism, hitting a deer, a tree branch falling on your vehicle, hitting a bird and a broken windshield. The maximum payout your insurance company will pay is the ACV or actual cash value, so if the vehicle is not worth much it’s not worth carrying full coverage.

Liability auto insurance – This will cover injuries or damage you cause to other’s property or people that is your fault. This insurance protects YOU from legal claims by others, and does not provide coverage for damage sustained by your vehicle in an accident.

Liability coverage has three limits: bodily injury for each person injured, bodily injury for the entire accident and a property damage limit. You commonly see limits of 100/300/100 which means $100,000 in coverage for each person’s injuries, a total of $300,000 of bodily injury coverage per accident, and a total limit of $100,000 for damage to vehicles and property. Another option is a combined limit which combines the three limits into one amount with no separate limits for injury or property damage.

Liability can pay for claims such as medical expenses, repair bills for other people’s vehicles, loss of income and bail bonds. How much liability should you purchase? That is up to you, but it’s cheap coverage so purchase as high a limit as you can afford.

Medical costs insurance – Coverage for medical payments and/or PIP pay for expenses for surgery, dental work, nursing services and chiropractic care. The coverages can be utilized in addition to your health insurance plan or if you lack health insurance entirely. They cover not only the driver but also the vehicle occupants in addition to being hit by a car walking across the street. Personal Injury Protection is not an option in every state and gives slightly broader coverage than med pay

Collision – This coverage pays for damage to your Navigator from colliding with another vehicle or an object, but not an animal. You will need to pay your deductible then your collision coverage will kick in.

Collision coverage protects against claims like sideswiping another vehicle, driving through your garage door, colliding with another moving vehicle and scraping a guard rail. This coverage can be expensive, so you might think about dropping it from vehicles that are 8 years or older. Another option is to bump up the deductible to save money on collision insurance.

More quotes mean more savings

We covered a lot of information how to save on 2003 Lincoln Navigator insurance. The most important thing to understand is the more you quote auto insurance, the better your chances of lowering your premium rates. Consumers could even find that the lowest auto insurance rates come from some of the lesser-known companies.

While you’re price shopping online, you should never skimp on coverage in order to save money. There are too many instances where an accident victim reduced physical damage coverage to discover at claim time that the savings was not a smart move. The ultimate goal is to buy enough coverage at the lowest possible cost, not the least amount of coverage.

Drivers leave their current company for any number of reasons including high prices, questionable increases in premium, denial of a claim and even policy non-renewal. It doesn’t matter what your reason, choosing a new insurance company can be easy and end up saving you some money.
