Cheap 2004 Infiniti G35 Car Insurance Cost

Feel like you’re a prisoner to overpriced auto insurance? Believe me when I say many drivers feel the same as you. Insurance companies such as Geico, Farmers Insurance and State Farm promote their brand names with TV and radio ads and it can be hard to ignore the promise of big savings and take the time to shop coverage around.

Cheaper car insurance rates with discounts

Car insurance companies don’t list the entire discount list very clearly, so we took the time to find a few of the more well known in addition to some of the lesser obvious savings tricks you should be using when you buy insurance online.

  • Federal Employees – Active or former government employment could qualify for a slight premium decrease on G35 coverage with some car insurance companies.
  • Claim-Free Discount – Drivers with accident-free driving histories can earn big discounts when compared to policyholders that have many claims.
  • Seat Belt Discounts – Buckling up and requiring all passengers to buckle their seat belts can save up to 15% on the premium charged for medical payments and/or PIP.
  • Discounts for Responsible Drivers – Drivers without accidents can save as much as half off their rates on G35 coverage than less cautious drivers.
  • Bundle and Save – If you can combine your auto and home policy with the same company you could save up to 20% and get you the cheapest insurance.
  • Driver Training Discounts – Taking time to complete a driver safety course can save you 5% or more if you qualify.

We need to note that most discount credits are not given to the overall cost of the policy. Most cut the price of certain insurance coverages like liability and collision coverage. So when it seems like you could get a free car insurance policy, it’s just not the way it works. Any qualifying discounts will reduce the cost of coverage.

Tailor your auto insurance coverage to you

When buying the best auto insurance coverage, there is no perfect coverage plan. Every situation is different and a cookie cutter policy won’t apply. For instance, these questions could help you determine whether you might need an agent’s assistance.

  • What is roadside assistance coverage?
  • Can I rate high risk drivers on liability-only vehicles?
  • Does medical payments coverage apply to all occupants?
  • Why am I required to buy high-risk coverage?
  • What are the best liability limits?
  • Am I covered if I hit my neighbor’s mailbox?
  • Is my camper covered by my car insurance policy?
  • Are there companies who specialize in insuring high-risk drivers?

If you don’t know the answers to these questions but you think they might apply to your situation, you may need to chat with an insurance agent. To find lower rates from a local agent, fill out this quick form or go to this page to view a list of companies. It’s fast, free and can provide invaluable advice.

Truth in insurance advertising

Consumers can’t get away from ads that claim the best car insurance rates by Progressive, Geico, Allstate and State Farm. They all make the point that drivers can save some big amount if you get a free insurance quote and switch your coverage to them.

That’s great but how can every company offer you a better deal? You have to listen carefully.

Many companies require specific criteria for the right customer that is profitable for them. A good example of this type of driver might be described as between the ages of 30 and 45, has no prior claims, and does not commute to work. A driver who meets those qualifications receive the lowest rate quotes and most likely will save when they switch companies.

Drivers who don’t meet these criteria may receive higher rates and business not being written. The ad wording is “drivers who switch” not “all people who quote” save money. That’s why companies can truthfully make it sound like they have such great rates. Because every company is different, you really should get as many free insurance quotes as possible. You cannot predict the company that will have the best prices for your profile.

Auto insurance coverage information

Knowing the specifics of a auto insurance policy helps when choosing the right coverages and proper limits and deductibles. Auto insurance terms can be ambiguous and reading a policy is terribly boring. Below you’ll find typical coverage types offered by auto insurance companies.

Liability coverage

This coverage will cover damage or injury you incur to other’s property or people in an accident. It protects you against claims from other people, and does not provide coverage for your own vehicle damage or injuries.

It consists of three limits, per person bodily injury, per accident bodily injury, and a property damage limit. You might see liability limits of 25/50/25 that means you have a limit of $25,000 per injured person, a limit of $50,000 in injury protection per accident, and a total limit of $25,000 for damage to vehicles and property.

Liability coverage pays for claims such as emergency aid, loss of income, bail bonds and medical expenses. How much liability coverage do you need? That is a personal decision, but you should buy as much as you can afford.

Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (UM/UIM)

Uninsured or Underinsured Motorist coverage gives you protection from other drivers when they either have no liability insurance or not enough. Covered losses include injuries sustained by your vehicle’s occupants and also any damage incurred to your Infiniti G35.

Because many people only carry the minimum required liability limits, it doesn’t take a major accident to exceed their coverage limits. So UM/UIM coverage should not be overlooked.

Coverage for collisions

Collision insurance pays for damage to your G35 resulting from a collision with another vehicle or an object, but not an animal. You first must pay a deductible and the rest of the damage will be paid by collision coverage.

Collision insurance covers things such as colliding with another moving vehicle, scraping a guard rail, damaging your car on a curb and sideswiping another vehicle. This coverage can be expensive, so consider dropping it from vehicles that are 8 years or older. Drivers also have the option to raise the deductible to bring the cost down.

Comprehensive insurance

Comprehensive insurance coverage covers damage that is not covered by collision coverage. You first have to pay a deductible and then insurance will cover the rest of the damage.

Comprehensive insurance covers things like vandalism, damage from getting keyed, hitting a deer and hail damage. The most you’ll receive from a claim is the market value of your vehicle, so if it’s not worth much more than your deductible consider removing comprehensive coverage.

Med pay and Personal Injury Protection (PIP)

Coverage for medical payments and/or PIP pay for expenses for things like doctor visits, rehabilitation expenses, pain medications, surgery and prosthetic devices. The coverages can be used to cover expenses not covered by your health insurance program or if you lack health insurance entirely. Coverage applies to all vehicle occupants and will also cover getting struck while a pedestrian. Personal injury protection coverage is only offered in select states and gives slightly broader coverage than med pay

The bottom line

Some companies do not offer internet price quotes and usually these smaller providers only sell coverage through independent insurance agencies. Low-cost 2004 Infiniti G35 insurance is possible on the web and with local insurance agents, and you should compare rates from both so you have a total pricing picture.

As you go through the steps to switch your coverage, it’s not a good idea to buy lower coverage limits just to save a few bucks. There are too many instances where consumers will sacrifice uninsured motorist or liability limits only to regret that the few dollars in savings costed them thousands. The goal is to find the BEST coverage at an affordable rate, but do not skimp to save money.
