Cheaper 2009 Lincoln Navigator L Insurance Cost

Looking for the cheapest auto insurance rates for your Lincoln Navigator L? Do you get exhausted from wondering where the money will come from to keep your car insured? You are in the same boat as millions of other drivers. Because there are so many choices of insurance companies, it’s difficult to locate a lower cost auto insurance provider.

Buy auto insurance online

Performing a rate comparison can be a lot of work if you aren’t aware of the most efficient way. You can waste a few hours (or days) talking about coverages with insurance companies in your area, or you can stay home and use online quotes to get rate comparisons in just a few minutes.

Many insurance companies enroll in a system that enables customers to submit their information once, and each company returns a competitive quote based on that data. This saves time by eliminating quote requests to each company.

The single downside to pricing coverage this way is that consumers can’t choose which providers you want to price. So if you prefer to choose from a list of companies to request quotes from, we put together a list of low cost auto insurance companies in your area. Click to view list.

You can choose any of those ways to find more affodable coverage, but do your best to enter nearly identical coverage data for each price quote. If you are comparing different data you can’t possibly find the best deal for your Lincoln Navigator L.

Tailor your car insurance coverage to you

When choosing proper insurance coverage, there is no “best” method to buy coverage. Coverage needs to be tailored to your specific needs so this has to be addressed. Here are some questions about coverages that might point out whether or not you will benefit from professional help.

  • If I drive on a suspended license am I covered?
  • Are there companies who specialize in insuring high-risk drivers?
  • What is roadside assistance coverage?
  • Should I rate my 2009 Lincoln Navigator L as pleasure use or commute?
  • Should I buy only the required minimum liability coverage?
  • When does my teenage driver need to be added to my policy?
  • Can I make deliveries for my home business?
  • Will I be non-renewed for getting a DUI or other conviction?
  • Is pleasure use cheaper than using my 2009 Lincoln Navigator L to commute?

If you can’t answer these questions but you know they apply to you, you may need to chat with a licensed insurance agent. To find an agent in your area, complete this form or you can go here for a list of companies in your area. It’s fast, doesn’t cost anything and you can get the answers you need.

Car insurance 101

Having a good grasp of your policy can help you determine which coverages you need and proper limits and deductibles. The coverage terms in a policy can be impossible to understand and reading a policy is terribly boring. Below you’ll find typical coverages found on most auto insurance policies.

Collision – Collision insurance covers damage to your Navigator L resulting from a collision with another car or object. A deductible applies then the remaining damage will be paid by your insurance company.

Collision can pay for things like driving through your garage door, colliding with another moving vehicle, sustaining damage from a pot hole, rolling your car and colliding with a tree. Collision is rather expensive coverage, so consider dropping it from vehicles that are older. Drivers also have the option to increase the deductible to save money on collision insurance.

Comprehensive protection – This coverage will pay to fix damage from a wide range of events other than collision. You first must pay your deductible and then insurance will cover the rest of the damage.

Comprehensive coverage pays for claims like hitting a deer, a tree branch falling on your vehicle and falling objects. The highest amount your auto insurance company will pay is the ACV or actual cash value, so if the vehicle’s value is low it’s not worth carrying full coverage.

Medical expense coverage – Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and medical payments coverage reimburse you for short-term medical expenses such as X-ray expenses, chiropractic care, ambulance fees, dental work and nursing services. They are often utilized in addition to your health insurance policy or if there is no health insurance coverage. They cover both the driver and occupants and also covers if you are hit as a while walking down the street. PIP is not universally available but can be used in place of medical payments coverage

Liability car insurance – This coverage will cover damage or injury you incur to a person or their property. It protects you from legal claims by others, and doesn’t cover your own vehicle damage or injuries.

It consists of three limits, per person bodily injury, per accident bodily injury, and a property damage limit. You might see limits of 25/50/25 which means a limit of $25,000 per injured person, a per accident bodily injury limit of $50,000, and $25,000 of coverage for damaged propery. Another option is a combined single limit or CSL which limits claims to one amount without having the split limit caps.

Liability coverage pays for things like legal defense fees, attorney fees and loss of income. How much liability coverage do you need? That is your choice, but consider buying higher limits if possible.

Uninsured or underinsured coverage – This protects you and your vehicle’s occupants when the “other guys” do not carry enough liability coverage. Covered losses include injuries to you and your family as well as damage to your Lincoln Navigator L.

Because many people only carry the minimum required liability limits, it doesn’t take a major accident to exceed their coverage limits. This is the reason having UM/UIM coverage is a good idea. Most of the time these coverages are identical to your policy’s liability coverage.
