Searching for lower insurance coverage rates for your Audi S8? Wish you could get a refund on overpriced insurance coverage? It’s quite common and there are lots of residents who feel the same. You have multiple car insurance companies to choose from, and even though it’s nice to have multiple companies, lots of choices makes it harder to locate the cheapest rates.
Auto insurance is not an enjoyable expense, but you can get discounts that could drop your premiums quite a bit. A few discounts will be applied at the time of purchase, but once in a while a discount must be asked for before they will apply.
Discounts reduce rates, but you should keep in mind that most discounts do not apply to your bottom line cost. Some only reduce the cost of specific coverages such as physical damage coverage or medical payments. So when it seems like all the discounts add up to a free policy, insurance companies wouldn’t stay in business. But all discounts will help lower the cost of coverage.

When it comes to choosing adequate coverage, there is no “best” method to buy coverage. Coverage needs to be tailored to your specific needs and a cookie cutter policy won’t apply. Here are some questions about coverages that may help highlight if you will benefit from professional help.
If you’re not sure about those questions but one or more may apply to you, you might consider talking to a licensed insurance agent. To find lower rates from a local agent, complete this form or you can go here for a list of companies in your area. It only takes a few minutes and can provide invaluable advice.
Learning about specific coverages of your auto insurance policy can help you determine appropriate coverage at the best deductibles and correct limits. Auto insurance terms can be impossible to understand and even agents have difficulty translating policy wording. Shown next are typical coverage types offered by auto insurance companies.
This covers damage caused by mother nature, theft, vandalism and other events. You first must pay your deductible then your comprehensive coverage will pay.
Comprehensive can pay for claims such as rock chips in glass, fire damage, a broken windshield, hitting a bird and falling objects. The maximum payout a auto insurance company will pay at claim time is the cash value of the vehicle, so if your deductible is as high as the vehicle’s value it’s probably time to drop comprehensive insurance.
Uninsured and underinsured coverage
This protects you and your vehicle from other drivers when they do not carry enough liability coverage. It can pay for medical payments for you and your occupants as well as damage to your Audi S8.
Since a lot of drivers have only the minimum liability required by law, it only takes a small accident to exceed their coverage. That’s why carrying high Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist coverage is important protection for you and your family. Usually the UM/UIM limits are set the same as your liablity limits.
Coverage for medical payments
Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and medical payments coverage pay for immediate expenses for hospital visits, X-ray expenses, surgery and ambulance fees. They are often used in conjunction with a health insurance policy or if you lack health insurance entirely. They cover both the driver and occupants and also covers any family member struck as a pedestrian. PIP is not available in all states and may carry a deductible
Collision coverage covers damage to your S8 caused by collision with another vehicle or an object, but not an animal. A deductible applies and the rest of the damage will be paid by collision coverage.
Collision coverage protects against things such as sideswiping another vehicle, driving through your garage door, hitting a parking meter and crashing into a ditch. Collision coverage makes up a good portion of your premium, so consider dropping it from vehicles that are older. Drivers also have the option to bump up the deductible in order to get cheaper collision rates.
Liability coverage protects you from injuries or damage you cause to other people or property in an accident. Liability coverage has three limits: bodily injury for each person injured, bodily injury for the entire accident and a property damage limit. Your policy might show values of 100/300/100 which stand for a limit of $100,000 per injured person, $300,000 for the entire accident, and $100,000 of coverage for damaged propery. Occasionally you may see one limit called combined single limit (CSL) that pays claims from the same limit with no separate limits for injury or property damage.
Liability can pay for things such as pain and suffering, structural damage, legal defense fees and repair costs for stationary objects. How much liability coverage do you need? That is a personal decision, but you should buy as large an amount as possible.
We just showed you many ways to reduce 2014 Audi S8 insurance rates online. The key concept to understand is the more rate quotes you have, the more likely it is that you will get a better rate. Consumers could even find that the best price on insurance coverage is with some of the lesser-known companies. Regional companies may cover specific market segments cheaper as compared to the big name companies such as State Farm and Allstate.
Some companies may not offer rate quotes online regional carriers provide coverage only through independent insurance agencies. Low-cost 2014 Audi S8 insurance can be found from both online companies and from local insurance agents, and you need to price shop both in order to have the best price selection to choose from.
As you shop your coverage around, do not skimp on critical coverages to save a buck or two. In too many instances, an accident victim reduced full coverage and found out when filing a claim that their decision to reduce coverage ended up costing them more. The proper strategy is to get the best coverage possible at the best cost, but do not skimp to save money.

Mine is so expensive. I’m just north of Montgomery, Alabama. Don’t remember every company but I ended up saving about $20 each month. Was with The General. Even increased my liability limits.
Does Allstate insure at replacement cost?
Cheaper not always better. I live in Rutland, VT. Quoted quotes from 21st Century, Auto-Owners, and Erie for my Audi and saved $512 a year. Not sure if rates are cheaper online or not.
From a town just southwest of Norfolk, VA. Quoted with Auto-Owners, Erie, and Mercury for my Audi and saved just over $540 a year. LOL

Progressive and Allstate had the best prices I found in Arkansas.
I got a good deal I think. Checking in from Anchorage, AK. Got car insurance quotes with Progressive, AAA, Eastwood, and Hanover for my 2014 Audi S8 and I think I am saving around $60 each month. Was with Nationwide. I’m a pretty low risk driver. Bought it from an online quote.
Why are claims settled so low?
Good detail in your article. Live in the western part of Rio Rancho, NM. Checked online prices for a 2014 Audi S8. Ended up at about $310 savings annually. Went with State Farm. I think they have home insurance too. I got prices on the web.
Does Progressive offer multi-policy discounts?
Lots of good stuff here. I live in a small town just outside of Los Angeles, CA. I compared lots of rates. Saved darn near $40 a month. Progressive was the cheapest option for me. Got better coverage too. Wish I didn’t have to insure at all.
I switched to 21st Century. Quoted good rates in Evansville, IN. :P
Just a quick comment on my experience. From northwest of Boston, MA. I quoted with State Farm, AIG Insurance, and Eastwood for my S8 and cut my rates about $300 a year. Insured with 21st Century before.
